A Global Long Only Fund House is hiring Finance Analyst to assist on Financial Accounting and Reporting and Cash Management of the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is a key role with the Finance team responsible for tasks associated with finance operations and reporting. More specifically main duties include assisting with:
- Accounts Payable function, including accounting and processing, verifying and reconciling of invoices & staff claims as well as month end accruals. This also includes preparation of fund transfers and cheques payments.
- Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances;
- Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analysing invoices / expense reports;
- Scheduling and making payments to vendors
- Receiving and verifying expense reports and preparing reimbursement;
- Vendor management from set-up to payment notification/reconciliation;
- Maintaining historical records in softcopies and document filings;
- Liaison with overseas finance colleagues with regards to intercompany billings and settlements;
- Fixed Asset Accounting and maintenance of fixed assets register;
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and schedules in the Group accounting system
- Management Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly reporting schedules and analysis of expenses
- Other quarterly and annual reporting responsibilities includes, but is not limited to:
- Assist with the annual statutory audit process (including liaising with external auditors)
- Maintenance of finance related registers and documents
- Ensure all agreed group accounting and finance policies are adhered to
- Continually review existing processes to streamline where appropriate to improve efficiency and effectiveness to allow additional analysis to be performed
- Contribute to the maintenance of the control framework to ensure it is operating appropriately, identify areas for improvement and implement changes to policy
- Provide back up support for other team member duties
- Assist in any ad hoc tasks as delegated by the Senior Finance Manager including information requests
- Contribute to projects and initiatives from time to time
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience in Financial Services organisations will be an advantage
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build relationships.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to deliver timely and accurate outputs
- Good understanding of finance processes and controls
- Good analytical mind and interpersonal skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Graduate qualifications in finance / business / economics preferred
- CPA Charterholder would be an absolute advantage
