JD of Short-term Executive Assistant for government department


Entry Requirements

(a) possess a Bachelor's degree or above from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent (Note1);

(b) have at least 3 years' post-degree, full-time work experience in executive, management, administrative, promotion and publicity roles, preferably in Government or public sector bodies;

(c) be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese, and have attained Level 3 or above in both English Language and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE), or equivalent (Note 2);

(d) demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills;

(e) be proficient in computer applications, including MS Word (English and Chinese), PowerPoint, and Excel; and

(f) be able to work independently and under pressure.

Job Duties

The appointee will provide executive support to the team, including:
  1. assisting with administrative and housekeeping matters for the Research Unit;
  2. conducting research and analysis to support reports, presentations for manpower projection and other related studies;
  3. providing executive and logistical support, including arranging consultations, liaising with stakeholders, and taking minutes for consultation exercise on manpower projection and other related studies; and
  4. performing any other duties as assigned by supervisors.


Notes:

  1. For general awareness, a locally-accredited Hong Kong bachelor's degree is at Level 5 under the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework (HKQF). While there are other qualifications under HKQF Level 5, for the purpose of this quotation exercise, only bachelor's degree is acceptable.

  1. For non-civil service appointment purpose, 'Grade C' in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to 'Level 3' in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
