Our client is leading Financial Technology Solutions Company providing industry-leading enterprise solutions tailored to financial markets. They are seeking a Sales Director to join the Hong Kong Private Markets team. This position is client-facing and requires heavy interaction with prospects and clients. 

Job Descriptions

  • Work as a trusted advisor - building trust, loyalty and solid long-term relationships with key decision makers at prospects and clients.
  • Work with the sales team to deliver technical sales support with an emphasis on understanding and addressing client requirements.
  • Engage across the prospect to align the organization around the value of products.
  • Uncover key components of value for the various prospect stakeholders to drive ‘Why’ the prospect is interested in company solution and illustrate how the platform solves the prospect’s perceived value.
  • Articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.
  • Coordinate closely with sales, sales support, and service resources to align the solution design with client’s business requirements.
  • Communicate client feedback and requirements to the Product team.
  • Ongoing relationship management to ensure the clients’ requirements and expectations are being met and a strong partnership is formed with the client and company
  • Identify the prospect buying behavior and orient our proven sales process for the prospect to drive the prospect toward a decision.
  • Identify opportunities with existing clients for additional company solutions.
  • Draw resources from across all teams (services, training, support, and product teams) to position the prospect for a successful long-term partnership.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) required.
  • Graduate/second-level degree (e.g. MBA, Master’s) a plus.
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience, including 7+ years sales experience at a top-tier software consulting firm or financial services company.
  • Prior experience working in the alternative asset / private equity industry preferred
  • Familiarity with recent advances in financial markets and portfolio management domain
  • Understanding of the competitive landscape for products and services targeted at the risk practitioner community
  • Solid understanding of finance and credit – CFA, CPA, FRM, or PRM certification a plus
  • Clear written and oral communication skills with an ability to communicate complex concepts to a senior audience
  • Experience presenting technical concepts and/or software to senior level business users
  • Strong presentation and time management skills
  • Ability to handle objections when challenged in a one on many situation
  • Highly motivated, positive, entrepreneurial, can do attitude, creative, ownership driven, intellectually curious, dynamic, confident, professional and goal-oriented with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint a must
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin
  • Position requires approximately 50% travel
