Overview:
We are seeking a skilled candidate to lead a team of economists in providing comprehensive economic and financial research and forecasts for senior management, various departments, and the Bank's clients. This role also involves serving as the Bank's representative on key economic and policy issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise senior management to enhance decision-making and engage with communities in Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland.
- Offer insights on economic matters to support investment and strategic planning initiatives.
- Represent the Bank at marketing seminars and media events to bolster its professional image and strengthen relationships with business partners and clients.
- Prepare economic and financial forecasts and research reports to support client promotions and inform risk management and strategic planning across divisions.
- Lead the economics team in generating reports and forecasts for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct interviews and presentations at marketing events to discuss economic and financial topics.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher in Economics or Finance.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in an economist role.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Effective interpersonal skills to promote team collaboration.
- Project management expertise, including adherence to timelines, problem identification, and developing resourceful solutions.
