Job Description of Project Manager (Children), Government of HKSAR

Job Duties

To perform the following duties in Children Team -

1. To assist in the planning and execution of various promotional publicity initiatives, and marketing strategies for the Commission on Children (CoC);

2. To liaise with different parties for the preparation of public engagement activities for CoC;

3. To assist in the coordination and organisation of various promotional campaigns, stakeholders engagement activities and thematic events for CoC;

4. To assist in designing and producing promotional materials, including but not limited to pamphlets and brochure, posters and video footage designing for CoC;

5. To assist in managing and updating the websites and social media platforms associated with CoC;

6. To provide administrative and logistic support for CoC and Working Groups meetings, if necessary; and

7. To undertake any other duties pertinent to the operation of CoC as directed.

Entry Requirements

Candidates should have -
1. a recognised degree, preferably in the fields of marketing, public relations or communication;

2. Level 2 or above in Mathematics, Chinese Language and English Language in the HKCEE or HKDSEE, or equivalent (note: Grade E in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 or Level 2 in Mathematics, Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth);

3. at least six years' post-degree full-time relevant working experience in the areas of event/project management, publicity or public relations, corporate communications, branding and marketing and multi-media promotion. Two years or more experience in the Government or public bodies will be an advantage;

4. experiences in liaison, planning and managing large-scale events with a broad range of stakeholders (including social service organisations, corporate and education sectors, as well as media networks), as well as designing and producing event promotional materials including pamphlets and brochure, posters and video footage is required;

5. good knowledge and proficiency in computer applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing;

6. proficiency in graphic/video editing software such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Final Cut Pro, as well as proven experience in graphic design and the production of promotional materials and video editing, are considered advantageous; good communication (both written and spoken) and interpersonal skills; and

7. the ability to work independently with resilience and team spirit.
